How Wrestling Builds Character
By Coach Dennis Hastert.
"House Republicans, sensing an opportunity for political advantage, maneuvered for a quick vote and swift rejection Friday of a Democratic lawmaker's call for an immediate troop withdrawal from Iraq."
"We want to make sure that we support our troops that are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan," said Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill. "We will not retreat."
Imagine where we would be if Senator Frist had shown the character of this man. Oh, and by the way, Thank you Speaker Hastert for mentioning the "war-that-dare-not-speak-its-name" Afghanistan.

Nobody is really complaining about Afghanistan, no one serious, anyway.
We didn't capture Usama. We didn't arrange for an official surrender of the Afghan government. We didn't capture Mullah Omar, but very few are saying Afghanistan was a bad war to enter.
Certainly Rep Murtha's criticism was focussed on Iraq, my criticism (another jarhead) is focussed on Iraq, not Afghanistan.
It is a deep shame, a civil tragedy, that the state of affairs in Afghanistan is completely buried by the news of the conflict in Iraq. We are killing or capturing 100s of "Taleban" people every month in Afghanistan. Why aren't we doing better, four years after the fall of Kabul?
