Add on the $3 billion funding dollop for rural school programs over the next five years. And another $8 billion over the same period in disaster aid, much of it for Midwestern states. And toss in unrelated legislation, far-reaching in its own right, requiring insurance plans to provide better benefits for mental health.

Now that I'm less ticked, I'd also point out several issues which make this election important:

1) The "Fairness" Doctrine. Say goodbye to talk radio.

2) Energy policy.

a) You want brownouts? Obama got brownouts, and that's got nothing to do with his skin color! He's openly stated that we should REDUCE energy generation by 15%. And he's got just the plan to do it -- by supporting wind and solar while ignoring nukes, coal, and oil.
b) Oil. Need I say more?

3) Foreign policy. Anyone with a brain grasps the limits of soft power -- "speak softly and carry a big stick". Not Obama.
